New Credit card rules for students -

Well a new credit card law is coming out which will

effect students, a new federal law which comes into effect

in February. Will affect students in their ability to actually

obtain credit cards.

The main thing this rule will involve will making students

very difficult to obtain credit cards to begin with, I think

the new law has a great impact to stop students from getting

excessive debts lined up.

Its all ways worrying to see a student with a high credit card limit

such as $10,000, $20,000 + and they only make a few hundred a week. Its

obvious they are going to be riddled with credit card debt for many years to

come.

Its a common fact that students who get credit cards usually

use them to buy all the wrong things, illegal things and party

on the money. Treating a credit card as your main source of

income is another really bad thing you can do.

Banks are worrying that this change in laws will effect

their overall revenues it more then defiantly will effect

large percentages of income for banks. This in turn will

rush up credit card costs for higher demographics.

Some rules for using a credit card if your a student -

1) All ways pay the bill on time

2) Get a limit which you can pay, i.e. one your suited to

3) Don’t use your credit card for wants, only use it for

needs it Food, books, college equipment. Don’t blow money

on partying, booze and other naughty’s.

4) Don’t get into debt because it will destroy your credit score

and when you finish college you will be in trouble.
